Our 2025 Miracle Child - Meet Nina
About Nina
Nina is a bright, resilient, and joyful four-year-old who brings immense love and light to everyone who knows her. She was diagnosed with Rett syndrome, a rare and complex neurological disorder that affects nearly every part of her daily life - from her ability to move and communicate, to her capacity for independence.
Despite these challenges, Nina’s spirit is nothing short of inspiring. She radiates strength, determination, and an infectious joy that touches every heart she meets.
Nina attends a specialized school for children with exceptional needs twice a week, and also receives private physiotherapy and occupational therapy to support her physical development and day-to-day functioning. She requires round-the-clock care, and as she grows, so do the demands of her condition. Her journey forward will include a lifetime of therapies, adaptive equipment like specialized seating and mobility aids, and innovative communication tools - many of which are not covered by government funding.
This is where Miracle Golf Day steps in.
The funds raised through this year’s tournament will go directly toward improving Nina’s quality of life. Your generosity will help her family access the vital tools and therapies that allow Nina to engage more fully with the world around her - giving her the chance to move more freely, communicate more clearly, and experience life with greater comfort, dignity, and joy.

Join Miracle Golf Day in Mississauga
Miracle Golf Day began in 2017, when RE/MAX Enterprises and RE/MAX Specialists teamed up to give the gift of hearing to a special little girl from the Philippines. The golf day raised over $16,000 and inspired Specialists owner Greg Gilmour to pay the entire cost of the surgery, giving the family a fund for speech therapy and Trisha’s education.
Charged by the success of Trisha’s Miracle, the Golf Day committee decided to make it an annual event. In 2018, we raised over $17,000 for Aiden, a boy from Port Perry with Cerebral Palsy and a single mother of 4. With the funds at Aiden’s Miracle, Aiden was able to get a new custom wheelchair and an exercise bike to keep his body as limber as possible. In 2019, we raised over $23,000 for 4 year-old Layla from Mississauga who has Cerebral Palsy. The funds raised at Layla’s Miracle was used to help obtain a variety of equipment and devices to aid Layla with her gross and fine motor skills, along with medication that was not covered, and a larger vehicle that fits her Walker and Wheelchair. In 2020, the pandemic prevented us from hosting a Golf Day, but we supported a local Pizza Nova Franchise owner in raising funds for the Knapp family, who suffered the loss of the father shortly after the mother of two had survived a bacterial infection that resulted in the amputation of several fingers, toes, and part of her foot. With only a few days of fundraising, we were able to contribute $3000. In 2021 we supported Tyler, a boy from Burlington who has spastic quadriplegic cerebral palsy following a Bacterial Meningitis infection he contracted at 3 weeks old. The funds raised helped Tyler's parents make their home wheelchair accessible.

Hosted by RE/MAX Enterprises and RE/MAX Specialists, the event is powered by Realtors, clients, friends, family, and the real estate community of Mortgage Brokers, Lawyers, Stagers, Inspectors, Insurers, and the list goes on and on!
Everyone is welcome; there’s a competition for the true golfers, fun & games for hackers, and opportunities to join for dinner or simply donate to the cause.
